Within the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum our qualified and enthusiastic team offer a variety of enrichments each week to promote these areas of the EYFS:
• Personal, social and emotional development
• Communication and language
• Physical development
• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding the World
• Expressive Arts and Design
These are delivered through a balance of child initiated and adult led experiences based on children’s next steps and interest.
We deliver high quality learning with a strong emphasis on Language development. Since the pandemic it has become more apparent that there has been a noticeable impact on children’s language skills. We are ensuring our team receive the best training to upskill them in supporting any gaps in children’s learning.
We are currently doing our Hygge in the early years accreditation and are seeing more cozy areas with soft lighting and fabrics for children to have a sense of security and homeliness. We are teaching more about gratitude and slowing down and as a team looking after our own wellbeing. We are bringing more nature into the environment to spark interest and act as the third teacher. We are excited to learn more and finish our accreditation.
I felt proud that both my children attended this nursery.
